10:00 to 11:00 Am Central

Webinar 1 - April 30

Discussed will be what information needs to be documented in the medical record during a pandemic to ensure compliance with Conditions of Participation. We will explore areas such as the visit narrative, F2F documentation, telehealth visits and home health aide supervision.

  • Ensure your documentation is medically reasonable & necessary and skilled
  • Explore a sample template on what to document during a telehealth visit
  • Discuss the requirements for claims submission including proper coding, OASIS Submission, Place of Service, NPIN

Webinar 2 - May 7

Confidentiality of patient and staff’s personal information needs to be upheld during the pandemic. Although the Office of Civil Rights has provided home health agencies & hospices some flexibilities, patient privacy is still a major concern. Staff needs to understand the appropriate measures to take so that the agency is not at risk.

  • Understand the flexibilities under OCR for sharing information
  • Utilizing telehealth technology – what to say & not to say
  • Discuss the protocols that need to be taken to protect patient privacy & to protect staff’s personal information
  • Considerations on how to speak with patients about an infected staff member
