2:00 to 3:00 p.m. CST

Description: With all the scrutiny all health care settings are currently experiencing, defensible documentation is a vital component of the work we do to sustain our organizations and provide evidence of the services we deliver. This is true regardless of whether you work in a home care, home health or hospice setting. This presentation will focus on how to avoid the pitfalls that may be associated with documentation that does not meet the standard of those scrutinizing our work. Documentation is as important to our patients as providing that hands-on quality of care we strive to accomplish every day.

Presenter: Cindy R. Morgan, RN, MSN, CHC, CHPN. Cindy is a certified trainer in coaching supervision, a certified Health Coach as well as a Certified Hospice & Palliative Care Nurse. Cindy has worked in various director level positions in Home Care and Hospice. Her background is in education, administration, and staff development. She has been a past Board member of the NC Center for Nursing and currently she serves on the NC Board of Nursing. Cindy is AHHC’s Associate Vice President for Hospice, Palliative Care and Clinical Innovation.

It is a controlled, radio-like environment where you will gather your staff, dial an 800 number, state your verbal password, and you’re connected. You will also be able to participate in a Q&A portion. The teleconference will take place from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. EST., 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. CST.
